We are 100 days to the biggest event in women’s football and the biggest Women’s world cup in history, it will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, 32 countries will participate in the global showpiece. The tournament will kickoff 20th July 2023 at the Eden Park, Auckland the host country New Zealand will face Norway and the final will be played in Sydney Olympic Stadium in Australia on the 20th August 2023.
USA have are the favourite to win the FIFA women’s world cup, they are the defending Champions and they have won the competition twice in a row, European champions England, Olympics champions Canada, Women’s Euro finalists Germany, France and Copa América Femenina Champions are all tipped to do well in the coming World cup.
Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Morocco will represent Africa in this year’s global showpiece. Nigeria is one of the seven countries that have been involved in every one of the eight editions of the FIFA Women’s world cup they have only managed to reach the knockout stages on two occasions, South Africa has only made three appearances but has never managed to pass the first round this will be there fourth appearance, Zambia and Morocco qualified for the FIFA women’s world cup for the first time after a historic performance in the WAFCON Zambia will want to leave a good impression of the Zambian football on the global stage and the Moroccan female national team will want to make Moroccan football proud and replicate what the men national team did in Qatar.
The FIFA women’s world cup promises to be an existing one and with 100 days to go, we just can’t wait for the start of the tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
