Jorge Jesus is close to being named Al Nassr’s head coach. The 70-year-old Portuguese gaffer was formerly in charge of Al Hilal, Al Nassr’s direct rivals. He led the Saudi side to an unbeaten league title, as well as the King Cup and Saudi Super Cup.
Jesus has managed Benfica, Braga, Sporting CP, Flamengo, Fenerbahçe, and several other clubs around the world.
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly approved Jorge Jesus as a potential head coach, with both men said to have held talks.
French journalist Santi Aouna confirmed the discussions between Jorge Jesus and Al Nassr’s board. He posted on his official X handle:
“Jorge Jesus, one of the names high on Al Nassr’s shortlist. Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Jesus have already talked together. CR7 wants Jorge Jesus on the bench of Al Nassr. Jorge Jesus has already said yes to Al Nassr. Negotiations underway to try to reach an agreement.”
