
Al Rayyan's struggles continue as they fell 2-1 to Al-Ahli

Al-Ahli secured a 2-1 victory over Al Rayyan, maintaining their perfect record in the Asian Champions League. Gabri Veiga opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and Fahad Al Hamad doubled the lead for the Saudi side in the 38th minute, with Riyad Mahrez assisting both goals.
Al Rayyan managed to reduce the deficit in the 65th minute, courtesy of an own goal by Al Hamad.
This win marks Al-Ahli’s third consecutive triumph in the Asian Champions League, highlighting their strong start to the tournament. In contrast, Al Rayyan remain winless in the Champions League, having lost all three of their group stage matches, and have just one victory in their last eight outings .
