Both sides were unable to find the back of the net in the first half, Brazil created some chances and had most of the ball but it was not enough to beat Sommer in Switzerland goal, Switzerland weren’t able to test Allison in the first half, they had just one attempt, their lowest tally in the opening 45minutes since their opening game in 2010 against Spain.

Casemiro’s goal proved to be the winner as Switzerland couldn’t find a way back into the game, the result of the game meant Brazil are through to the next round, while Switzerland must avoid defeat against Serbia to keep their hope of qualifying for the round of 16.
