Chelsea’s defeat to Fulham in the West London derby makes it one win in nine League matches.


Chelsea faced Fulham at Craven Cottage, the official in charge of the game was Paul Tierney.

Chelsea came into the game hopping to get a reply after that disappointing loss to Manchester City, new signing Joao Felix was in the lineup 30 hours after signing for the club. Chelsea lined up with a 3-5-2 formation, Kepa Arrizabalaga was in goal, Senegalese International Koulibaly was in defence, Denis Zakaria and Mason Mount were in midfield, Kai Havertz and Joao Felix led the attack.

Fulham came into this game in fine form, having won their last three Premier League matches, Fulham's top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic was not in the squad due to the number of yellow cards he has had this season.Fulham used a 4-2-3-1 formation. Bernd Leno was in goal, Tim Ream and Tosin Adarabioyo started in defence, Pereira and former Chelsea man Willian started in midfield and Carlos Vinícius led the attacks.

William gave Fulham the lead in the 25th minute of the first half, Chelsea had fourteen shots in the first half but couldn't convert any of those shots into a goal.

Chelsea had a good start to life in the second half as Koulibaly cancelled out Fulham’s lead two minutes into the second half, Zakaria was subbed off due to injury in the 55th minute, and things got worse for Chelsea after Joao Felix was given his marching orders two minutes later for a reckless foul on Tete.

Carlos Vinicius restored Fulham’s lead in the 73rd minute, Pereira put a nice ball into the net and Kepa tried coming out but couldn't get to it, Vinicius was in the right place to head in.

Chelsea tried finding a way back into the game but couldn't find a way past Leno, Moroccan International Hakim Zyech was introduced in the 80th minute but he couldn't make a difference in the scoreline, Havertz almost equalised late into stoppage time but was denied by Leno.

The win meant Fulham finally win against Chelsea in the Premier League after 16 years and they are up to sixth in the Premier League, Chelsea has only won once in nine league games and they remain 10th in the Premier League.
