DOGGED ARSENAL LEAVE IT LATE TO BEAT MANCHESTER UNITED

Both sides were on form coming into the game, Manchester united came out on top the last time the two sides met, Arsenal came into the game focused on getting the three points to increase their lead over second place Manchester City.

Arsenal used a 4-3-3 formation, Ramsdale was in goal, Saliba and Gabriel were in defence, Ghanian international, Partey was in midfield and Nketiah led the attack. New signing Trossard was among the substitutes.

Man united used a 4-2-3-1 formation, David de Gea was in between the sticks, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane were in defence, Marcus Rashford played right wing, Eriksen and McTominay were in midfield and Weghorst led the line. Casemiro was left out of the squad due to the accumulation of yellow cards.

Rashford scored a cracker to give Manchester United the lead in the 17th minute, he dribbles Partey and fires the shot from 25 yards out. Manchester United lead didn’t last long as Nketiah equalised for Arsenal through a nice header seven minutes later. The first half ended level, the half didn’t disappoint, both sides played with momentum and maintained a good balance.

Arteta made a half time change as Tomiyasu was brought in for Ben White, Busayo Saka put Arsenal in front in the 54th minute, the goal was a stunner it was a moment of individual brilliance. Martinez drew Man United level six minutes through a header, it was Martinez's first Premier League goal.

Arsenal kept pressing, kept putting crosses into the net and the pressure finally paid off in the 90th minute. The win took Arsenal points tally to 50 points and five points above Man City on the Premier League table, Manchester United conceded a late goal for the second game in a row, Man United are fourth, level on point with third place Newcastle and six points above fifth place Spurs.
