Everton have expressed strong interest in signing Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The club has already held talks with Delap’s representatives, and a face-to-face meeting has taken place between the player and Everton officials. During the meeting, head coach David Moyes was present as the club outlined its long-term project to the young forward.
Everton are reportedly prepared to trigger the striker’s £30 million release clause and are ready to offer him a good salary .
With just 41 goals scored this season, the Toffees are aiming to bolster their attacking options. Delap, who netted 12 Premier League goals this season despite playing for a relegated side, is seen as a potential solution to their goal-scoring problems.
Securing the signature of the 2003-born English striker would be considered a statement signing for Everton, especially with other Premier League giants—Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United—also reportedly interested in the player.
