Manchester City and Liverpool shared the spoils in an intriguing contest. They played a one-one draw

Manchester City came into this game has favourite to get the three points,both of this sides have played 174 times in league football with City winning 46 and Liverpool winning 83. The rivalry between this two teams is called the Kloop-Pep rivalry, a rivalry of modern-day English football.

Manchester City lined up in a 3-2-4-1 formation with Ederson in goal, Ruben Dias at the center of defense, Rodri and Manuel Akanji at the middle of the pack, and Norwegian international, Erling Haaland led the line.

Liverpool lined in a 4-3-3 formation with Allison in between the sticks, Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip at the center of defense, Alexis Mac Allister in the middle of the pack, and Darwin Nunez in attack.

Haaland was the difference between both sides in the first half as his 27th-minute goal was the only goal of the half, he was assisted by Nathan Ake, the goal marked a milestone it was his 50th goal in the Premier League and he became the fastest player to get to half a century Premier League goals. Liverpool had four shots in the first half and only one on target, while Manchester City had five and four on target.

It was an Intriguing second half as both sides had their chances though there was only one goal in it and it was scored by Alexander Arnold in the 80th minute, an assist by Salah. Dias thought he scored the winner earlier in the half but the goal was chopped off by VAR because of Akanji’s foul on Allison . The match almost had a winner in the last minute of the game but Haaland's header went wide.

The result took the Champions to 29 points, they have played a game more than third-place Arsenal. Manchester City’s next feature is against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, the match will be played on Tuesday,28th of November.

Liverpool is 2nd in the Premier League, a point behind Manchester City. They face Lask on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday,30th of November.
