Manchester City defeat Sheffield United three-nil to advance to the FA CUP Semi Final.

Manchester City looked the favourite to advance to the final coming into this tie, Pep men lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation Ortega was in goal,Akanji and Laporte were in defence and Haaland led the line.

Sheffield United were clearly the underdog coming into the game they played a 3-5-2 formation, Foderingham was in goal, Ndiaye and Jebbison led the line.

It took Manchester City later than expected to get the first goal, it came just before half time , Mahrez put City ahead from the spot. Manchester City showed their dominance in the 2nd half as they scored two more goals, Riyad Mahrez completed his hat trick in the 66th minute .

It was a good run for Sheffield United as they didn’t go down without a fight they will concentrate on getting promotion to the Premier League. Manchester City became the first team without conceding a goal in their run to the FA CUP Final, it might be Manchester City’s year as they hope to become the 2nd side after Manchester United to win the treble , they will face either Manchester United or Brighton in the FA CUP Final.
