Newcastle ran riot against Sheffield United, they trashed Sheffield United via eight goals to nil.

Sheffield United came into this game hoping to get their first Premier League win of the season, Paul Heckingbottom named a 3-4-2-1 formation with Wes Foderingham in goal, John Egan in the center of defense, Oliver Norwood and Vinícius Souza in the middle of the pack and Cameron Archer led the line.

Newcastle came into this game in high spirits after a good result against Milan in the UEFA Champions League, Eddie Howe named a 4-3-3 formation with Nick Pope in goal, Steve Botman and Fabian Schar at the center of defence, Bruno Guimarães at the middle of the pack and Callum Wilson led the line.

Newcastle put in a great performance in the first half , the first twenty minutes of the half was balanced but after that Newcastle never looked back,Sean Longstaff got Newcastle ahead in the 21st minute, Dan Burn made it two ten minutes later, Tripper played a perfect cross into the box from a corner Burn beats his marker and headed the ball into the back of the net. Botman got Newcastle third through another set piece situation, again it was a perfect delivery from Tripper which Botman headed home.

The Hammers couldn’t stop the Magpies in the second half as they became ruthless,the Magpies put five goals pass the Hammers in the second half. Callum Wilson made matters worst for Sheffield United in the 56th minute, it was another assist for Tripper it was his third, Tripper played a nice cross into the box which Wilson headed into the net. Anthony Gordon made it five in 61st minute and he finally got his deserved goal, he was brilliant all day.

It turned into a humiliating defeat in the 68th minute when Almiron scored Newcastle’s sixth, Guimaraes played a through ball to Almiron the Paraguayan international made no mistake in putting the ball in the back of the net. Guimarães put a sword in the heart of the Blades supporters after scoring Newcastle’s seventh, at this point it looked like the Sheffield United players were waiting for the referee to blow the final whistle, the Sheffield United fans had left the stadium .

Isak scored Newcastle’s eight in the 87th minute, this time the damage had already been done.

Newcastle had eight different goal scorers on the score sheet, it was a professional performance from the Magpies, they were ruthless and didn’t look like stopping. It was Newcastle’s biggest away win in the Premier League and Sheffield United biggest home defeat. The Shieffield United faithful deserved a refund for their side's poor performance.

Sheffield United are rock bottom in the Premier League , they have conceded 17 goals , scored five goals and lost five of their six Premier League games. Paul Heckingbottom is under pressure, his side faces West Ham next and needs maximum points in this fixture.

Newcastle will hope to build on this brilliant performance moving forward,they face Burnley next in the Premier League.
