Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr, valid till 2027. The contract is likely to be his last as a professional football player.
By the time Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr expires in 2027, he would have spent four years at the Saudi club.
Ronaldo has led Al-Nassr to the Arab Club Champions Cup and an AFC Champions League semi-final. He has also won two Golden Boots with the club.
Ronaldo’s new contract is very lucrative. It is regarded as the most lucrative contract in world football. It includes:
£178 million a year
£3.4 million a week
15% ownership of Al-Nassr (estimated to be worth £33 million)
£24.5 million signing bonus – increasing to £38 million if he activates the second year of his contract
£80,000 bonus per goal (increases by 20% in the second year)
£40,000 bonus per assist (increases by 20% in the second year)
£8 million bonus if Al-Nassr win the Saudi Pro League title
£4 million bonus if he wins the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot
£6.5 million bonus if Al-Nassr qualify for the Asian Champions League and win it
16 people working full-time for him, including:
3 drivers
4 housekeepers
2 chefs
3 gardeners
4 security personnel
£4 million worth of private jet expenses, covered by Al-Nassr
£60 million worth of sponsorship deals promised by Al-Nassr with new Saudi companies and companies in the Asian market .
