Spurs win comfortably over Crystal Palace to get back to winning ways.

Crystal Palace welcomed Spurs to Selhurst Park Stadium. For the match Spurs made two changes - Oliver Skipp replaced suspended Yves Bissouma, and Eric Dier came in for Ben Davies. Spurs used a 3-4-2-1 formation; club captain Harry Kane started the attack while club captain Hugo Lloris started in between the sticks.

Crystal Palace used a 4-2-3-1 formation where Ghanian international Jordan Ayew led the attack, Guehi was at the heart of defence and Zaha led in midfield.

The first half ended goalless as either side could not break the deadlock. Ayew and Olise went close to breaking the deadlock, but they couldn’t get past Hugo Lloris. Spurs were poor in the first half; they weren’t able to break the Crystal Palace defence.

Conte’s half time team talk however proved effective as Kane put Spurs ahead three minutes into the second half. The goal meant Kane became the second Premier league player to score in the competition on their 100th, 200th and 300th PL appearance, the first was Teddy Sheringham who played for Manchester United, Portsmouth, Spurs, West ham United and Nottingham Forest. Spurs doubled their advantage five minutes later; this time Kane and Doherty combined forces and Kane scored his second goal in the game. Doherty made matters worse for Spurs in the 68th minute, and Kane was again part of the build-up to the goal. Son sealed it in the 78th minute, marking his milestone 200 appearance with a goal.

The win is Spurs first win after the World Cup, the win means that Spurs are two points behind the Champions League qualification places, Crystal Palace remain in 12th place.
