The scuffle between Emilio Nsue and the Federación Ecuatoguineana de Fútbol is not looking like it would be resolved soon. In an Instagram live session, Emilio Nsue addressed the issue between him and the Equatorial Guinea FA, which led to his expulsion from the national team.
According to him, he was ousted without an explanation. Nsue accused the federation of embezzling €1 million earned from CAN 2021 in Cameroon. Additionally, he mentioned outstanding debts to the Malabo hotel where the national team players stay during rallies. Nsue criticized the president for not engaging in the federation's problems, claiming he isn't the sports minister but consistently seizes opportunities to take money from the federation.
He stated that the federation falsely claimed intentions to use the money to develop local leagues, but there were no results as the league was stopped two months later. Furthermore, the federation allegedly threatened Juan Micha, the head coach of the national team, with termination if he didn't attribute issues to Iván Salvador and Emilio Nsue; when Micha refused, they sacked him.
Expressing disappointment, Nsue mentioned that after receiving his highest goal scorer award, no federation representative accompanied him to collect it, and he didn't receive a congratulatory message for his golden boot award. He declared his unwillingness to make himself available for selection until the federation addresses the issues.
