Leeds United came into this game hoping to get the three points , it was Sam Allerdyche’s 2nd game in charge and he knew his side needed a win to go out of the relegation places. Leeds United lined up with a 4-3-3 formation, Robles was in goal and Patrick Bamford led the line.

Newcastle lost last time out and knew there was no margin for error coming into this one, Eddie Howe’s men lined up in a 4-3-3 formation with England’s international Nick Pope in between the sticks, Fabian Schär and Steve Botman were in the center of the defense, Bruno Guimarães in the middle of the pack and Callum Wilson in the attack.

Leeds United made a great start to the game as they went ahead in the 7th minute through Ayling , Leeds United had the chance to double the lead after they were awarded a penalty in the 27th minute but Bamford stepped up and had his penalty saved by Pope. Newcastle were awarded a penalty in the 31st minute and Callum Wilson made no mistake in dispatching it.

The 2nd half was full of drama and very entertaining, Newcastle was given another penalty in the 67th minute Wilson stepped up to take it and he beat Robles for the 2nd time. Kristensen found a way back for Leeds United in the 79th minute through a nice volley. It was a great time for the defender to get on the score sheet for his club. There was still room for more drama, Junior Firpo was given his marching orders in the 91st minute because of a foul on Gordon.

Newcastle was disappointed not to get the three points, they have only gotten one point from their last two games and would have to win their next match against Brighton to avoid unnecessary pressure.

Leeds United would be disappointed not to get the three points,they are one point from safety, Bamford has had the lowest conversion rate this season. He will need to improve on his game as his side battle relegation. They face West Ham United next.
