Turmoil in Naples as tension break out between Khvicha Kvaratskhelia representatives and Napoli.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a 23-year-old Georgian footballer. He joined Napoli in the 2022/2023 season from Dinamo Batumi after making just 11 appearances for the Georgian club side. During his first season with Napoli, he helped the club win the Scudetto with a record performance in his books, recording 28 goal-scoring contributions. His partnership with Victor Osimhen that season will forever be one for the record books.

This season has been a contrast compared to last season for Kvaratskhelia, as the winger has 17 goal-scoring contributions in 45 matches. He had four different managers, a situation he has never experienced, and this made his representatives frustrated.

Kvaratskhelia's agent, in an interview with Georgian media Sport Imedi, as quoted by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, said his client wants to leave Napoli but they will wait till the end of Euro 2024, as they don't want to disturb the player. His aim is to get Kvaratskhelia a club that plays in the UEFA Champions League.

Jugeli acknowledged the fact that with the new boss, Antonio Conte, Napoli will get into the UEFA Champions League and compete for the Serie A crown, but that will be a year wasted for Kvaratskhelia.

After the interview, Napoli came out with an official statement, which stated the Georgian international isn't for sale, and no agent has the right to dictate when a player under contract should leave a club.

Kvaratskhelia is a top talent and he has admirers across Europe; French giants Paris Saint-Germain has registered interest in the player, but haven't sent an official bid to Napoli as of the time this piece was written.
