Edo Queens Slum; FC Masar beat Edo Queens to earn final podium place in CAF Champions League

Edo Queens’ CAF Champions League journey concluded in disappointment as the Nigerian side suffered defeat to FC Masar in the Bronze Medal match.

The team had sadly qualified to the third-place playoff after a 3-1 loss to TP Mazembe in the semifinals. However, the Bronze Medal clash ended in a goalless draw after 90 minutes, leading to a penalty shootout where Edo Queens were narrowly beaten 4-3.

Despite the heartbreak, Edo Queens will receive a prize of $300,000 for their fourth-place finish in the competition.
