King’s Cup Semifinal Lineup Confirmed as Al Kholood,Al Ahli,Al Hilal and Al lttihad Advance

Updated: Dec 8, 2025

The four semifinalists for the King’s Cup have now been confirmed, with Al Kholood, Al Ahli, Al Hilal, and Al Ittihad all advancing.

Al Kholood continued their remarkable run with a dramatic 4–3 win over Al Khaleej, securing a historic first-ever semifinal appearance. Led by new owner Benjamin D. Harburg, head coach Des Buckingham, and captain William Troost-Ekong, the team’s fairytale campaign now sets up a major test against Al Ittihad. Victory there would send them to the final, where Al Hilal or Al Ahli await.

Al Ahli booked their spot after a thrilling 3–3 draw with Al Qadsiah over 120 minutes, eventually prevailing 5–4 on penalties. Their reward is a semifinal showdown with Al Hilal, a fixture that finished 3–3 in the league earlier this season. Their last cup meeting came in last season’s AFC Champions League semifinals, where Al Ahli won 3–1, a result they will aim to replicate.

Al Hilal enjoyed the most comfortable quarterfinal, sweeping aside Al Fateh 4–1. However, the semifinal presents a much tougher challenge against familiar rivals Al Ahli. Hilal have not beaten Ahli in their last three encounters ,two defeats and a draw and will be eager to reverse that trend with a place in their second final of the season at stake.

Al Ittihad powered past Al Shabab 4–1, driven by a Karim Benzema hat-trick. They now meet tournament surprise package Al Kholood in the semifinals. Despite facing the lowest-seeded side, Al Ittihad cannot afford complacency, especially after already losing one semifinal this season in the Saudi Super Cup.
